For their Spring/Summer 2010’s release, four new two-tone colorways will be released in the Half-Cab LX, with full nubuck uppers (not you’re ordinary Vans), combined with black midfoot and tongue, black pipings and laces, and a white outsole. The latest colorways are Black Snake & Chili Pepper, Black Snake & Deep Coral, Black Snake & Gunmetal, and Black Snake & Tobacco Brown, which should be at your local Vault dealer this March/April 2010.

See who’s walking? This is not Happy Feet, nor one of wolverine’s pet. This is the mutant King Penguin on the island of South Georgia, near Alabama Antarctica spotted by Geographic photographer Andrew Evans. A rare color mutation of penguin’s coats into all-black. “Melanism is merely the dark pigmentation of skin, fur — or in this case, feathers. The unique trait derives from increased melanin in the body. Genes may play a role, but so might other factors. While melanism is common in many different animal species (e.g., Washington D.C. is famous for its melanistic squirrels), the trait is extremely rare in penguins. All-black penguins are so rare there is practically no research on the subject — biologists guess that perhaps one in every quarter million of penguins shows evidence of at least partial melanism, whereas the penguin we saw appears to be almost entirely (if not entirely) melanistic.”, Evans said.

Adidas, collaborated with Slick, the renowned graffiti artist who recently lent his magic touch to the adidas Artillery to produce this wonderful creation, MidVulc II Mid. It comes in the same black/red/white colorways. This Vulc II has a slick’s grafitti design on the upper, and has adidas signature on the bumper and third stripe. 80€.
